Pretest-style items are placed randomly throughout the form and are not identified until answer review after submission.
Results use a clearly labelled 200–500 BoardQBank practice scale with a 350 practice passing point. Official BRPT equating remains proprietary.
Published exam structure
BRPT states that the RPSGT examination contains 175 multiple-choice items, including 150 scored and 25 pretest items, with 180 minutes allowed. The CPSGT examination contains 75 items, including 60 scored and 15 pretest items, with two hours allowed. Pretest items are randomly interspersed and are not identified during testing.
